Magdalena Stokalska Jewelry
Originally from Poland, Magdalena now calls the Boston-area home, and has been making inroads into the fashion scene ever since. Magdalena moved to Massachusetts 10 years ago, and started making jewelry in 2010.You’ll see her jewelry in boutiques, editorials, fashion shows, and on international models. Her work has also been spotted on the runway during Providence and Boston fashion weeks to rave reviews from photographers and stylists.
Magdalena started out making accessories for herself, but originally hadn’t thought about it commercially. “To start, it was just for fun. However, my love for fashion and the urge to meet other people equally passionate about the industry inspired me to take my craft more seriously. I love how jewelry can transform any outfit.”
Many of Magdalena’s pieces are as edgy as they are glamorous. Hidden among pearls and rhinestones, you’ll often find skulls, spikes, and mixed-metal chain fringe. But her jewelry is not all edge. Magdalena’s beaded collars, agate bracelets and pyrite fringe necklaces are a balance of bold and delicate, achieving a feminine look that surely makes a statement.

NYX Studio
After completing a mentorship in metal working in the highly-respected Mexican artist community of San Miguel de Allende, NYX designer Nicole Rueda-Watts returned to the US with the drive and inspiration
necessary to develop her own unique jewelry line. With the goal of
seamlessly blending meticulous metalworking with elements of nature, the
eclectic collection combines bohemian whimsy and refined elegance.
Each design element is thoughtfully selected; from the forms
of the adorning feathers, beading, or tassels to the intricate detailing
of the metalwork and clasps. The result is a line of jewelry that can
beautifully accent a plain white t-shirt while also delicately embellishing the most high-end couture gown.
While NYX designs are clearly influenced by the ever-developing world
of fashion, Rueda-Watts seeks to inspire strength and individuality through her
jewelry. “I feel that there is a nice balance of femininity and strength
in my work and I feel a lot of women respond to that balance. Fashions
come and go, but if there is true integrity in a piece; which I believe
comes from inspiration, whimsy, and possibly darkness, then that piece
will always have a voice, ” -designer, Nicole Rueda-Watts.

Glows Shop
Gloria Greenfield, better known as Glow, has been making jewelry since she was a teenager using found objects and vintage materials. “I had a factory job overseas one summer and collected tiny washers that were being thrown out daily,” she recalls. “A few days later I had a killer one-of-a-kind choker, that I proudly wore to work all the time.”
Her mantra: "Things have a way of becoming what they are meant to be.”
Originally designing for herself, friends and family, it was Glow’s sister that encouraged her to take her art to the next level, and she hasn’t looked back since, often working late into the night on her one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces.
She sources materials at thrift shops and estate sales, and confesses to a love of old things, particularly for their stories and mysterious history. She’s most passionate about making new things from found objects, giving time-honored trinkets another chance to shine and tell new stories. This kind of design process also speaks to her sustainable and peaceful lifestyle.
Working from her sunny South Florida studio, Glow is most thankful for the beautiful people (and dogs) in her life—OK, and also for the peacocks and parrots that regularly greet her.

kimber elements
Kimber, founder and designer at kimber elements, is Seattle-based artist with a background in painting, printmaking, bookbinding, and sculpture. Her design process includes mixing nontraditional elements and techniques to create works of art that question notions of comfort and beauty.
Kimber elements is a line that celebrates wearable sculpture. Tactile and textural, her pieces delicately interweave chaos and beauty in simple materials that are not traditionally used to make jewelry. Her work is influenced by abstract text, repetition, simplicity in modern forms, and natural elements.
Each piece or “element,” as Kimber defines them, is a unique design which is only replicated eleven times. Each piece is thoughtfully handcrafted and numbered, and as such, her work is constantly evolving and changing.

Sikara & Co.
Mousumi Shaw, founder of Sikara & Co., is as passionate and creative as she is entrepreneurial. Much of the jewelry in her collection is inspired by the sights and textures of her international experiences. Her passion for traveling rose out of her deep desire to better understand the history, culture and stories of people worldwide. In addition to jewelry design, Mousumi is dedicated to the mission of empowering others through entrepreneurship and leadership with her role on the Advisory Board of C.E.O. Women, a nonprofit helping immigrant woman to start their own businesses and as a founding member of Indus Women Leaders.
From Mousumi: "Between our family road trips across the US and travels to the Far East, my mom has taught me not only to have a love for our ancestral Indian culture but also a deep appreciation for other cultures. A passion for travel is embedded deep in my genes as well. I’ve visited over 30 countries in the past 10 years, opening my eyes to foreign cultures, and politics, oftentimes not found in the textbooks. My travels have inspired me to work with a network of international designers to present a truly unique line of jewelry. When a person purchases a piece, they also learn about the history and culture pertaining to the country where the designer of the piece originates."

BEVIN
Colleen Smith, founder of BEVIN, studied jewelry design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, then took apprenticeships with master goldsmiths and jewelry designers to learn the intricacies of the trade before becoming a professional jeweler herself.
During her apprenticeships, she worked on over 5,000 pieces of jewelry, and brings a deep knowledge of what works and what doesn't, what endures and what breaks to her own designs. She’s always loved fashion and design, and has always been drawn to metalsmithing because of the fire, the work, the pounding and the idea of creating something from nothing.
She says of her work, “I feel I'm guided by the metal. I really draw inspiration from the materials: working with them and manipulating them to reach the end product. I never stop learning. That's when you become stagnant. I constantly challenge myself and push myself to be better and to design something more beautiful every time I step into my workshop."

NCB Jewelry
NCB Jewelry is designed and created by artist Natalie Blin in her Nashville studio. Inspired by her grandmother’s jewelry collection at a young age, Natalie has been making jewelry as long as she can remember. While studying industrial design at the Art Institute of Colorado, she sparked a passion for fine jewelry design.
“Studying mass manufacturing and commercial product design served as a catalyst to establish my handmade jewelry line. I began to appreciate the functional application of artistic design, but I wanted to incorporate it into something beautiful and unique. Natural gemstones became my medium, as no two things in nature are the same. As a universal art that we share, jewelry is a tangible medium that conveys individual style.”
The distinct style of NCB Jewelry originates from the belief that fashion is the most personal form of self-expression. Each NCB design is handcrafted to evoke a sensual and intuitive
individual response.

Seven Halos & Sophie Blake
In April 2012, New York based jewelry designer, Sophie Blake collaborated with Boston based designer Jennifer Smith of Seven Halos to create a refined and luxurious five piece, limited-edition capsule collection. The hand-crafted accessories can be best described as vintage baroque meets art nouveau.
The collection took just over seven months to make from start to finish. Inspiration came when Jennifer was going through family heirlooms with her mother in Colorado, one of which was a dresser passed down from her grandmother. This stylistic pairing of the antique wood in the smooth baroque pattern sparked the idea for the collection.
The wooden foundation of each piece was hand crafted in Seven Halos' studio in Boston. Sophie Blake's refined skill in handmade jewelry and eponymous design aesthetic, which focuses on pieces inspired by a mix of Art Deco and geometric pattern, transformed the pieces into the luxury collection we have today. Her addition of 18k gold and unique chain detailing were the finishing touches.

Alistair Archer
Alistair Archer celebrates the joy and unexpected wonders of life. Incorporating passion, beauty and harmony, Alistair Archer scarves shimmer with vibrancy.
Alistair Archer came into being from the unique experience of its main designer, Robert F. Merton, a contemporary painter. The premature birth of his first son, Archer, served as a catalyst for change. Because Archer needed special care, Robert decided to focus his attention on helping him and in doing so found meaningful ways to communicate through art. Father and son time included sitting sit-by-side on the studio floor so Robert could work on free-form abstract art. This work evolved to become the luminous and richly-textured jewel-toned scarves now known as, Alistair Archer.

Joyo
Prior to starting Joyo in 2012, designer Jenn Liddiard made beaded jewelry for many years, and while obtaining a certificate in graphic design from the School of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston, really fell in love with patterns and clean, modern design. She's always thought lasers were cool. Designing and making laser cut wood jewelry is a perfect intersection of all these passions. Jenn does all the laser cutting herself, and does all of the design, sanding, oil finishing, and assembly by hand.
Jenn loves taking a natural material like wood, and transforming it into a unique, intricate, unexpected form. She's inspired from museums, architecture, sidewalk patterns, history, far off places, and the natural world.
Using quality materials and eco-friendliness are also an integral part of Joyo, and the lumber is collected and reforested using environmentally friendly practices. Additionally, all paper materials are printed on 80% post-consumer recycled paper using soy-based inks.

Stone Poetry
For as far back as she can remember, Lee has been passionate about creating. She was always writing stories and poetry and using her "overactive imagination" in some way. As a teenager the walls in her room were covered in collages created out of fashion magazines and her clothes were cut, dyed and safety pinned.
Lee earned her BA in English Literature so that she could go to school and write, but finds the creative process pretty much the same no matter the medium. “Whether you start with words, paint, or gemstones, it is always about creating something wonderful and whole out of smaller parts.”
Though she didn't always know that she would end up designing jewelry, she did know that she would be in a creative field of some sort because of her love of the creative process and the freedom it offers. “My hope is that my passion for creating translates into each of my designs and evokes something wonderful in the women who wear it."
